Indradhanush (1999): A unique product fusing Hindi film songs with classical dance. In that special symbiosis peculiar to classical music-dance tradition and commercial films in India, songs and hymns of saints and poets are used frequently by both. For example, if a classical dancer wove a web of spiritual love through a song by Meera, the heroine of a film could also emote to the same song without that spiritual dimension.
Indradhanush, as a choreography spans the two genres with all the hues, colours and artistic expression like the colours of a rainbow – Indradhanush. The traditionally classical dance and music are in exciting juxtaposition to the “film, yet keeping the integrity of both and enriching the central idea. A bold and novel choreography
